When the Stockholders of Natural Bridge Caverns were trying to purchase the undivided interest in the 100-acres tract described as the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Minority interest in the business, the Stockholders retain the Ruiz Companies to assist them in securing funds to finance the acquisition. The Ruiz Companies structured a plan which included submitting a application to secure a guarantee funds from USDA . The application was approved at the State Level and because of the size of the request had to received final approval in Washington. Natural Bridge Caverns project is a show cave, which is a tourist attraction located between San Antonio and New Braunfels on Natural Bridge Caverns Road about eight miles off I-35. It is within ½ hour's drive from San Antonio' and in a growing metropolitan area of over 1,500,000 in population. Over the past several years Natural Bridge Caverns, Inc. (NBC, Inc.) has attracted between 265,000 and 280,000 visitors, making it the largest of the seven show caves in Texas.
